Acerca de

This group is designed for children in Grades 1–6 who love Minecraft and enjoy hands-on, creative experiences like crafting, cooking, movement games, and collaborative building challenges.

To ensure every child feels included and confident, we use visual schedules and neuroaffirming strategies that promote predictability, flexibility, and a sense of safety. The group is run by a Speech Pathologist with the support of a Speech Pathology Therapy Assistant, ensuring all activities are fun, purposeful, and supportive of social communication development.

Over the 3-day program, children will:
🟩 Design their own Minecraft avatars – creating characters on paper or 3D blocks while practising creativity, planning, and following instructions.
🍪 Cook Minecraft-themed treats – making treats, practising teamwork, role negotiation, and sharing materials.
🏰 Take on building challenges – constructing Minecraft-inspired structures using LEGO, cardboard, and recycled materials to develop collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
🏃🏼‍♂️ Move like mobs – playing Minecraft-themed games such as Creeper Tag, Zombie Dodge, and Freeze Dance to build coordination, teamwork, and flexible thinking.
🎮 Play Minecraft together on Xbox – applying skills from the week in a collaborative digital environment, practising turn-taking, planning, and sharing ideas.
💬 Reflect and share – participating in group discussions about their creations, favourite moments, and experiences, building social confidence and conversation skills.

Each activity is thoughtfully designed to provide natural opportunities for children to practise key social communication skills—such as initiating and maintaining conversations, expressing needs and feelings, working with peers, and navigating group dynamics.

Our Minecraft Adventure Holiday Group offers a supportive and inclusive environment where children can connect with others, explore their creativity, and develop social communication skills—all while having an epic time in the world of Minecraft!
